The Travelling Observatory
& On Bright Sky
Cycles of the Heavens
10pm – 2am: Star and planet gazing.
Enjoy the wonders of the Night-Sky up close through our amazing telescopes.
Astronomer Elisa Kraus and The Travelling Observatory will show you sights of Jupiter’s Moons, Binary Stars and stellar clusters…
midnight - 1pm (unless cloudy): Laser Guided Constellation Spotting with Dave Molz.
Cosmologist Dave Molz from The Brighton Sky will be giving a laser guided tour of the heavens.
He aims to teach everyone a handful of stars and constellations, while weaving together their patterns and cycles with myths and legends across various cultures.
Daytime: Solar Telescope.
Have a look at the Sun through our special Solar Telescopes. Perhaps you’ll be lucky enough to see Sunspots, Solar Flares or even Coronal Loops!
Come find us in the fluoro-zodiacal-geodesic-dome in the Green Future Fields!
The Travelling Observatory – Green Future Fields
Day and night, our Space Space offers cosmic exploration...
During the day our celestially aligned geodomes house solar telescopes, safely letting you see sunspots and solar flares on the face of the Sun - come and witness first hand one of the greatest solar minima for 1000 years!
Also, you will find workshops on space exploration and you can design your own hab module from recycled space junk.
At night, The Space Space can easily be found as the geodesic domes glow in the dark! This improving future green technology physically stores the sunlight without the need for batteries or solar panels.
Our night-time scopes let you see stars, planets, nebulae and even galaxies. Saturn can be seen just grazing the crescent Moon Sunday before Sunset. (Scopes 10pm till 2am; earlier on Sunday Night)
At midnight cosmologist Dave Molz will give a laser guided tour of the stars and constellations, weaving together their myths and legends from various cultures.
